Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our sanctuary is a very peaceful retreat for these animals, and also a home for the resident human on the property. We ask that you do not visit the sanctuary outside of advertised hours or without an appointment.
-
We are constantly evaluating quality of life for our residents. Every being deserves a chance to live a whole, happy life….even if that looks different from the “norm”. If we ever feel that these animals are suffering too much we will peacefully euthanize the animal. This is, of course, a last resort.
-
Yes! Our farm is very beautiful and also represents unconditional love for all beings. We would be honored to be part of your photo opportunities. We just ask that you schedule that ahead of time and fill out the liability waiver. The animals may or may not be available, but we are happy to do our best to work with you.
-
Depending on the type and size of event, we could potentially allow for some events. However, the animals would not be able to be involved.
-
We are not a zoo. The animals in our care (our residents), do not perform for the public. If, during a tour or function they choose to stay away, we do not force them to interact. This is their home and their choice to interact with public.
-
Yes! Most of the animals at the sanctuary are available for adoption or fostering. Just go to our Foster/Adopt page for more information!
-
We have a very small limit on animals we can have at the farm. If you have to give up your animal, you can give us a call and discuss as it will depend on many factors. Please do not just show up at our sanctuary with the animal! There is a very strict process, for health and safety reasons, that we must adhere to if and when we take an animal.
